WS Godwin

WS Godwin is the 6th grade teacher at Lowndes Academy.  He has taught at Lowndes for 10 years.  He graduated from Troy State University in 1968 with a Bachelor’s degree and from the University of Montevallo in 1970 with a Master’s degree, from Auburn University at Montgomery with an “AA”, and did doctoral work at the University of Alabama.

WS Godwin taught in public school for 45 years.  He also taught as an evening and summer teacher for LBWSJC in Greenville for 28 years.  He also was a supervising teacher for Troy University for 2 years in social sciences. 

WS and his wife Rebecca, have lived in Greenville, Alabama for 48 years.  The are proud parents of nine children - 6 boys and 3 girls.
