Lowndes Academy

The Annual Lowndes Academy Deer Hunt is Lowndes Academy's largest fund raising activity.Landowners donate their land and time for this annual event.

Hunters are treated to a weekend that they will never forget. All hunters will stay in privately owned hunting cabins located around Lowndesboro, Alabama.Hunters will have the opportunity to hunt from ladder stands, ground blinds, or climbers, depending on what area they are assigned to hunt. Transportation is provided to and from the hunting areas.

The hunt is scheduled for Jan 11th – Jan 13th, 2013.

Reservations are limited to 55 hunters.

The cost per hunter is $800.00, which includes meals lodging. A deposit of $250.00 is required by July 30, 2012 for all hunters. After that date, the rate will be $850.00 per hunter with no exceptions.

Hunters must be 18 years of age or older and hold an State of Alabama hunting license, which can be purchased online at www.dcnr.state.al.us/hunting/ or at any Wal-Mart.

Please review the hunting guidelines on this website. Any hunters arriving before the Friday hunt at noon will need to make special arrangements for lodging and meals. Please book your hunt, with the Lowndes Academy bookkeeper, Zoe Wheeler, and not with local guides or private landowners. Please send a registration form for each person that will be hunting to ensure that your lodging and meal accommodations are appropriately handled. Credit cards and monthly payments are accepted.
